Swap

Move this wallet’s own funds between Transparent and Privacy. Public to Private is a peg-in that matures in about six blocks. Private to Public is a peg-out, and nothing is paid to someone else.

In the v0.4.13 prototype.

Swap moves this wallet’s own funds between Transparent and Privacy. Nothing is paid to someone else. Public → Private is a peg-in. Private → Public is a peg-out. An exchange, or anyone else, still pays the normal ltc1 address. Swap is the later move, after those coins are already in this wallet.

The card says the funds stay in the wallet. Public → Private shows the confirmed Transparent balance. Private → Public shows the spendable Privacy balance, and a maturing remainder when there is one. The figure leaves “Choose coins” closed. The button on this side is “Move to private.”

Pegged-in coins cannot be spent privately until they mature, about six confirmations. Two fees apply, and both are calculated: a miner fee on the Transparent chain, and a private network fee. History can show a maturing pill on the peg-in so the wait is visible. The result keeps the transaction id and says the funds become spendable on the Privacy side once mature.

Percentage chips offer 25%, 50%, 75%, and Max of the Transparent balance, or of the coins you opted in. An optional note stays on this device and is not broadcast. Choosing which Transparent coins enter the peg-in is coin control. That choice does not change the peg-in into a different kind of transaction.

Private to Public

A typed amount, with no coins chosen, arrives on one fresh ltc1 address. Max, or an explicit set of Privacy coins, arrives as one fresh ltc1 address per Privacy coin: one kernel, with the fee taken from the largest coin. History still shows one peg-out for that operation. The button is “Move to public.”

The amount stays above the dust limit. Frozen coins are skipped when the wallet chooses inputs itself. The fee is automatic. This direction publishes a Transparent output. It is not a privacy score, and it is not a point at which pegging out is safe. There is no “safe to peg out” state. A self-spend, when you want a Privacy coin to share a later block, is a separate action.

Swap ships in the v0.4.13 prototype. Like the rest of this wallet, it has not been independently audited.
